June 11th, 2024 - Kansas City, KS
The U.S. Men's Olympic Soccer team hosted Japan for their last match before the upcoming Paris Olympics. Head Coach Marco Mitrović did not seem to have the answers as his team gave up 2 goals against their opponent. Previous camps hosted where meant to fine-tune the squad and help finalize roster decisions. Notable players were left off this last training camp roster in Kansas City, however they still could make the final team roster.
Tanner Tessmann showed consistent play in the midfield, however the absence of an injured Gianluca Busio was noticed. The team is young and seems to be lacking a dynamic striker. Japan is a quality opponent, however the lack of contest displayed is not ideal for a last camp before Paris.
Final Result: Japan wins 0-2 at Children's Mercy Park
